Battle Preparation and Battle Guide

Battle reference video

œ Battle Preparation

I recommend teaming up with Barret and Aerith to avoid lingering in the first to second round of flying enermies.

There are differences in the way each fight is fought, so I'll summarize them in detail.

œ 1st Round

Use Raise to defeat the Ghost at the start of the battle.

Next, keep two ATBs for each of the two while attaking the Phantom with a normal attack.

After securing the ATB, as soon as the Phantom appears, use Barrett's Fire to stagger him for a long time.

Then do some damage in one fell swoop with Barret and Aerith's Arise!

Outside of Fire, activating Spirit Siphon will leave you defenseless for a long time.

If you miss this opportunity, the enemy will BLOCK most of your attacks. If you miss, you might want to start over.

œ 2nd Round

At the start, Aeris deploy a Arcane Ward.

The rest of the time, we both attacked the fire while riding the magic circle manually.

Elite Shock Trooper sometimes avoid attacks, so I recommend taking them out with fire while attacking the Elite Helitrooper first.

œ 3rd Round

I recommend the same application as the second round, Arcane Ward -> fire attack.

The 3-C SOLDIER Operator are more troublesome to attack.

Defeat the 3-C SOLDIER Operator first and then attack the Grungy Bandit.

œ 4th Round

This is the most annoying enemy in this battle, so don't think about saving your MP until the 5th round and go all out.

The Hellhound takes a long time to defeat, so take out the Zenene in the way first.

Deploy a Arcane Ward and attack the Zenene with Fila or Sandara.

When you are in a staggered state, use an Maximum Fury or attack magic to quickly fold in.

Hellhound can be dealt high damage with a Arise; their HP is too high, so you'll be dealing a lot of Arise.

Let's put them both in a haste.

Arise as soon as your ATB builds up.

œ 5th Round

It's easier than the fourth round.

Deploy the Arcane Ward and defeat it by attacking Thundara from the Sweeper who can target the weak point first.

Also, take out the Queen Grashtrike with a Fila or Thundara attack.
