Bike Mini-Game

This page explained in detail about Bike Mini-Game.





Jesse's Rating.

The bikes are in chapters 4 and 18.

Chapter 4 has a rating from Jesse depending on the remaining HP at the time of defeating Roache (3 different ones).

Get the best rating (and get a kiss from Jesse at the end) and get the trophy "Biker Boy".

Note that if you retry in the options menu, you will get the lowest rating regardless ofyour remaining HP.

Guide point

Strength varies with difficulty.

Enemy strength and attack patterns change with difficulty.

For an easy attack, I recommend Easy.

The Biker Boy, Jesse's highest rated trophy, can also be earned in Easy.


Familiarize yourself with the enemy's attack patterns.

Enemy attacks do not reach the entire screen, so there is always a way to avoid them.

Even if you don't do a good job of evasion, you can still reduce a lot of damage just by successfully guarding (R1 button).

The main way to avoid this is by moving and braking.


Characteristics of Acceleration (R2)

The speed will be increased and it will be used throughout.

If you attack while accelerating, you will slow down, so don't waste your time attacking until you are in close proximity to the enemy.

If you're wielding a weapon before the enemy appears, you can hit one before they overtake you.


Jump Features

If you jump on the ramp along the way, your special move gauge will be instantly maxed out.


Special move attack

・Spinning Slash(△button)

It deals heavy damage twice. Make sure you hit it when you get close to it.

・Sharp Gust(Hold down L1 and press the △ button.)

It sends a shockwave through the air. It can also be inflicted when enemies are lined up vertically at the same time.

Roche guide

・Shock wave (single, multiple)

Before you activate it, rotate the bike and fly it away. It is recommended to position yourself on the edge and move to the other side just before it flies away.

If you have more than one (6 times), guard against the last shock wave that is about to come into our orbit.


・If you get close enough, attack aggressively.

Once you get close to Roche, you can hit him for a long time. It is recommended to ignore Roche's normal attacks and just attack him.

Reduce the damage by guarding only when they use a tame technique.


・Thunder (9 rounds)

It is activated when you are running on a side wall.

Depending on the timing of the fall, you can avoid it by moving to the left or right in fine detail.

If you can't avoid getting hit, it's safe to guard against it.

After the Thunder ends, the whole bike will fall and give you a shockwave, so use your guard to reduce the damage.

Truck

It is recommended to avoid the target markers to the opposite position when they appear.

Put away the guards that appear together, except when they are approaching the truck.

Helicopter

You cannot defeat them because they are in the air. Progress by defeating the remaining enemies on the ground.

The missile landing markers stop at the location where the missile detonated.

You can avoid it by moving to the side at this time.

If a Soldier appears with you, you may be restricted from moving around by a body hit, so guard it to reduce the damage.


M.O.T.H Unit

It will send a series of circular blades flying. It's more monotonous than Roache's shockwave, but if you can't avoid it, guard it.

They will spin around and around and around to attack you when you are in close combat. Move away from the edge when it starts spinning, and when it stops spinning, approach and attack again.


Motor Ball

Personally, once I got used to it, it was easier to capture than Helicopter & Soldier.


・We'll destroy the entire wheel.→Stagger opportunity!

There are six wheels (three on each side), and if you destroy them all, you will be staggered.

Once you've destroyed one side of the wheel in three places, then use the brakes to slow down and then accelerate to the other wheel to destroy them all.

The damage multiplier of stagger doesn't reset after it ends, so the more you stagger, the more damage you take.


・Dropping the wheel

It will try to crush you by warping one of the wheels. The wheel is up for a while, so attack for a while until the wheel falls down.


・Rotational flame radiation

It is often used after the staggered state is over, spinning and emitting fire.

If the fire starts blowing before you activate it, use the brakes to back up and get out of range.


・Electromagnetic Field

Expand the field by throwing multiple electric bullets on the ground. Avoid left and right, being aware of moving away from the forward landing point.


・Giant energy bullets (front and side)

・Front type


It is often used during the electromagnetic field.

The core part glows red and sends energy bullets.

It only flies in a straight line in the front, so it is easy to avoid it to the side.

If you want to concentrate on avoiding the electromagnetic field, guard against it.


・Side type

This will be used heavily at the end of the game.

It will send energy bullets sideways to prevent you from destroying the wheel.

If you accumulate a red light, back off with the brake to avoid it.
